Outsiderskip and I went searching for prawns in the Logan River on Sunday, 1st March. We did see some on the sounder in the Marks Rocks area, the first green beacon . Only seen the odd boat so decided to have a look at Redland Bay Channel. It was about high tide, and nothing seen so went back to the spot in Logan River, couple of people throwing nets for zero results. Check the sounder and noticed some patches of prawns seem to be rising off the bottom, this time about 15 boats. Prawns seem to be only in one location, boats were getting tightly packed, like lions carouling their prey.

Getting about 20 prawns a throw, good size too. We only managed a bucket and half between the two of us, good feed nevertheless.
